I am indebted for every breath of my life, as each inhalation
imparts profound lessons on the art of living. These breaths remind me that I
am part of the "living," a creature intricately connected to the
essence of "life" rather than merely to a maternal figure. It is the
benevolence of that great Lord that extends forgiveness, moment by moment and
layer by layer. Beyond my temporal existence, surpassing my efforts, and
transcending myself, I have been granted a position, compelling me to embrace
gratitude. O Lord of Glory! My heartfelt thanks to You for being my sole
support, the refuge for the helpless, the center of all expectations, and the
source of every need!
O magnificent Lord, the embodiment of grace! What moments does your
servant have before your divine realm where disobedience is conceivable? Given
the abundance of blessings, if the servant contemplates in earnest, their head
should remain bowed in perpetual prostration. Let the head always be humbled in
the presence of the Almighty. Every aspect of this existence — life, service,
radiance, life and death, the universe, mountains, rivers, stones, trees,
springs, and the seasons of autumn, summer, and winter — all manifest as
beautiful hues and forms of your omnipotent power, cherished above all by your
devoted servants.
Life continues its relentless progression, prompting contemplation
on the era when man held no significance. Elevated above other creatures, every
action of this individual is distinctive. In moments of fear, he seeks refuge
at your divine threshold, yet when fearless and rebellious, he is distanced
from your presence. In the pursuit of grandeur, the malady of arrogance befalls
him; empty-handed, he clings to the threshold in complaint. Remarkably
generous, despite mankind's recurring "evils," the benevolence
extends to keeping the door of forgiveness ajar.
Man exists in a dichotomy of freedom and constraint. In the realm
of freedom, he revels in the accessibility of all the blessings bestowed by
God. Contentment arises from the beauty of nature—gazing at towering mountains,
delighting in picturesque landscapes, and savoring the sounds of rivers,
canals, seas, and streams. However, this freedom is circumscribed; it thrives
only as long as the body maintains its health. The moment these aspects falter,
constraints tighten their grip, rendering man increasingly limited. Hence, in
every circumstance, gratitude is owed to the Lord for His boundless and
continuous bestowals.
