On the night of
Laylat al-Qadr (لیلۃ القدر), as the Shia world mourned the martyrdom of Imam Ali, the echoes
of his Oppression resounded from the minarets of mosques. The
faithful gathered to hear the story of how the Imam was struck down while in
prostration, the same Imam who had fought valiantly alongside the Holy Prophet
(PBUH). Even the hens of his household sensed his impending martyrdom, and they
clung to his skirt in grief.
As the Imam lay
injured, his supporters and companions gathered around him. He spoke to them
for the last time, offering them words of advice and counsel. His voice was
weak, but his words were strong. He spoke of the importance of justice and
righteousness, and he urged his followers to never give up on the struggle for
truth.
The Imam's words
were a testament to his faith and his commitment to justice. They are a
reminder to all Muslims of the importance of standing up for what is right,
even in the face of adversity.
“Hasan, be warned! If I survive, I will punish Ibn Muljam
myself. But if I die, strike him only once.”
This was the essence
of the advice given by Ali, who was unmatched in his eloquence and oratory
skills. Today, there is no eloquent and persuasive speech, nor is the sweetness
of his words being manifested. Rather, it is simply being said briefly and
comprehensively that even if one is an enemy, one should not ignore the demands
of justice.
The Master of the
Universe has departed. Hundreds of helpless and hundreds of friendless people
have become orphans today. It seems that the saying: “Ali is from me and I am
from Ali” has been fulfilled today and the meanings of its interpretation have
also become clear. On the occasion of the nineteenth Laylat al-Qadr and the
martyrdom of Ali, it is not possible to ignore two aspects:
First, all aspects of Ali's life should be closely
related to our daily lives. We should prove ourselves to be his followers in
word and deed.
Second, one end of Ali's martyrdom
is connected to our lives, and the other end is connected to the court of God.
That is why the fragrance of success and victory was fully felt in Ali's slogan.
Through the slogan “فُزتُ و ربِّ الکعبۃ,” Ali showed that no worldly comfort has any value in the face
of the pleasure of God. Today, if the sure goal of my destination is the
Supreme Being, then I have reached the highest level of success and victory.
In order to increase
their understanding and develop a closer relationship with Ali, young people of
the modern era need to do more than just be emotionally moved by the name of
Ali. They also need to make a concerted effort to incorporate the actions of Ali
into their own personalities. Even a non-Muslim can express verbal sympathy.
