It has always been
my endeavor to give voice to the goals of the students of University of Baltistan
Skardu, no matter what they may be. To document all the experiences of learning
and observation. The planning and organization of the study tour conducted in
late 2019 and early 2020, and the process of bringing it to fruition, is also
an important part of those goals. The observations made by our students from
Skardu to the Head Sulemanki border are an important part of the history of
Baltistan University. From the beginning to the end of the journey, the
students continued to benefit from new experiences. The aim of the Baltistan
University administration was also to not limit the students to curricular
activities but to also give them access to extracurricular activities so that
our students can move forward with success in any field of life. This year's
study tour was also unique in that nearly 80 students visited several
universities across the country. While our esteemed teachers were with us every
step of the way to provide guidance. I hope that Baltistan University will
continue to preserve this activity (study tour) for the future, like its many
other activities, and continue its work with even more zeal and enthusiasm.
The most important
question is what we gained from this study tour. I would like to say that this
tour helped us to enhance our abilities and observations. We learned that
although the University of Baltistan Skardu is a small university, our spirits
are high and our goals are purposeful. The education system in educational
institutions in Islamabad and Lahore is much better than ours, but we can also
make the University of Baltistan Skardu follow the same path by taking the
system in those institutions as a basis.
The second important
thing was to establish educational and research linkages between national
universities so that ideas and thoughts can be exchanged when needed. I think
we did this job very well and efficiently. We introduced ourselves to many
educational institutions and learned about their experiences and technical
equipment.
The third important
thing was to develop the ability to understand national integrity and dignity.
Dear readers, this task was also successfully completed. We met different students
from different places and learned that we have one thing in common: we will not
compromise on the integrity and dignity of our beloved Pakistan. We observed
these three things closely and tied them in our knots and vowed that if we are
united, no power in the world can dare to mess with us.
